In fact, Glam Hatters has workshops for UK brides and bridesmaids that make for the perfect hen party. Don’t worry if you can’t get to a UK workshop, Janie is going to share with us some DIY Fascinator tutorials.

Can you give us a little background into the tradition of fascinators at weddings?
It’s a very British thing to wear a fascinator or hat to a wedding. These days if you haven’t got something on your head you look a little under-dressed! Since Philip Treacy spotlighted his first catwalk collection in the early 90’s, fascinators have catapulted to the top of the stylish list for wedding goers. All hail Philip for bringing a new generation of milliners to the forefront of British design!
If you are all set to be a bridesmaid this year, there is a lot to look forward to in 2017 bridesmaid dress trends. Whether the bride is a fan of classics or prefers current dress styles, there are sensational options to choose from this year. Take a look at this round-up by the fashion experts at Canada’s premier bridal destination, Best for Bride, of what is hot and happening in bridesmaids fashion in 2017.
Stylish single-shoulder dresses
Sexy and glamorous, the one-shoulder neckline detail is a favorite in the wedding world. It is a dress style that allows you to show off your shoulders without baring too much skin. Single-shoulder dresses are best with a defined waistline, though they are available in column and dropped waist designs too. This practical dress style looks flattering on almost everyone, making it a great choice when the bridal party has women with different body types.

Floral patterns on dresses
Floral prints are a popular trend for 2017, as noted in the trend report on the Fashionisers website. This year, the popular print takes on dimensions at either end of the scale, appearing as big and bold prints or as a scattering of miniscule floral motifs. Spring and summer will see many brides opting for floral patterns to liven up their bridal party outfits. This print is a winner at garden weddings. Florals look good in tea-length dresses and full-length gowns.
In most cases, long gone are the days where the bride asks her bridesmaids to match her shoe color to her dress, and we sure are thankful for that! Out with the old and in with the sparkling bridesmaid shoes.
A popular trend is for bridesmaids to wear sparkly, sequin, or metallic shoes. These shoe colors match many bridesmaid dresses and are easy to find. Here are a list of our favorite picks, that will go great with the current dress trends.

That got us thinking. Is there a list of every Pitch Perfect song ever used? Even if it was just for 20 seconds? Thankfully, the answer is yes.

Recently we connected with Sonia of Stay Fierce Boutique and fell in love with this online shop. We wanted to have a little fun, but since we’re not a fashion blog we thought why not have some friends model the dresses we ordered. Thankfully these ladies were game for a night of dress up. Okay, maybe it helped that wine was on hand, so lots of laughs were had and everyone felt fabulous.
Read on to find out each lady’s thoughts on their featured dress, where they would wear it, and how you can get 15% off your purchase from Stay Fierce Boutique.
