This Elegant Winter Wedding is Made of Christmas Magic
Every bride dreams of her big day being special. What makes a winter wedding truly magical? That’s right, snow. So if you have your winter wedding in December you might incorporate Christmas as well. Bride Emma did, and I’m certain she played White Christmas on repeat to get her one wish: snow.
Emma, Kurt, and their families are such kind and easy-going people. This classic and timeless wedding has a few odes to the bride’s hometown, Cleveland. The couple chose the beautiful St. Dominic Church for the ceremony and hosted their reception at The Union Club. Both gorgeous spaces for an elegant winter wedding!
Winter Wedding Inspiration
The Union Club itself is a very timeless and elegant venue, with its dark wood details and grand staircase. To complement the space, embroidered linens with a combination of silver and blush satin napkins are used. The cake is vintage-inspired with lots of piping details to make a statement.
The wedding palette is ivory, blush, and silver rather than traditional holiday colors. White, ivory and blush florals with silver ornaments in the centerpieces give a little nod to the holiday season. Emma’s large, all ivory bouquet adds flare to her beautiful elegant gown.
It’s All In The Details
Personal touches include table numbers featuring the Cleveland Skyline. The couple’s first date spot at a trivia night takes center stage. Upon arrival, guests find a card with Kurt and Emma trivia. It’s a great way to break the ice with other guests and learn more about the couple.
A cardboard cutout of the couple’s two pugs at the sweetheart table is another guest favorite. Throughout the evening, guests kept bringing them on the dance floor and into the photo booth! A wonderful way to have their fur babies be a key part of their day.
Stunning visuals like the oversized floral arrangements surrounded by escort cards keeps with the elegance. The Union Club’s grand staircase provides a stunning backdrop with a massive Christmas tree, garland, and lights. A true wow for guests as they arrive at a winter wedding.
Emma and Kurt’s day is gorgeous and flawless but favorite moments can’t be planned. The bride is incredibly easy-going throughout planning. The only thing she truly wants is snow on her big day. Although the weather didn’t forecast it, Emma got her wish right before guests arrived for cocktail hour. What follows is some of the most epic winter wedding photos.
