Two Less Fish In The Sea Themed Bridal Shower

Two Less Fish in the Sea

I’m Megan of MK Creative My shower was on June 25th at Sea Oaks Country Club in Little Egg Harbor Twp NJ. My mom is my best friend, so she planned my shower along with my maid of honor Nicole. Funny story, they wanted to surprise me and hire a retired art teacher to help with my shower. I was like, oh no. This is my turn to do what I love for me!

Since I’ve been a professional graphic designer for 10+ years, I work with a lot of with wedding stationary. So I did all of my own stationery for the shower, including the invites.

So no surprise shower for me! It was a TON of work. Thankfully with the help of my fiancé, who built from scratch that chalk board sign, Pinterest, and my friend Nicole, it all came to life. My dad was with us in spirit. I always know I make him proud, and he made sure it was a gorgeous day for me.

Megan’s Nautical Theme

My fiancé and I love to fish. That’s why most of my decor was mermaid inspired and lots of nautical stuff!

DIY Donut Wall

I also did some DIY things like a donut wall. I bought a frame on sale from Michael’s, glue nails, and pegs. The donuts were from “Shore Good Donuts” in Ship Bottom, NJ.

Hula Hoop Flower Prop

I also made a hula hoop flower picture prop. The weather was so nice we took pictures outside.

Games

We played games such as Guess the Bride’s Age, Advice for the Bride, and Word jumble. The funniest game we played was “Porn or Polish?” The most unique game I’ve found in my experience of doing bridal shower games, is “Name the Guest.” It’s designed to allow the guests to meet each other. Which will come in handy since they will see each other again at the wedding!

Your shower looks so beautiful! I have never heard of this theme before. I especially like the colors and the blue glass.
My daughter is getting married next year, I need to remember the Name the Guest game. What a fun way to bring people together.

The “Find the Guest” game is really one of the best ice breakers. Enjoy your time as MOB. It really does go by so quickly.
