The Wedding Cat

BLOGGER: Lisa is a Michigan blogger and recent DIY bride who loves Caturday. Once you read her blog you instantly want to be her new best friend.

WHY WE LOVE IT: Lisa has an eye for fashion, features real brides, gives planning and DIY advice, and has an instagram that is always on point.

MUST CHECK OUT: The Real Brides section. We’ve lost hours of time pinning photos to our bridal party inspiration board. We were especially obsessed with her latest feature of a Gatsby-Themed wedding.

2morrowsdress.com

BLOGGER: Jennifer owned and operated a special occasion dress shop in Arizona for 5 years, making her the perfect person to give bridesmaid dress advice.

WHY WE LOVE IT: Jennifer provides a wealth of knowledge about fashion, fabrics, alterations, sizing, and more. Her advice is practical and is aimed at saving the reader both time and money.

MUST CHECK OUT: Start with The Basics and the Bridal sections of the blog. Some of her feature articles include: What is the Difference between Junior and Misses?5 Top Tips for Bridesmaid Dress Shopping, and Why are Bridal Shops so Expensive?

Tartan Rose Weddings

BLOGGER: Laurie-ann is a recently engaged blogger from the U.K. with less than a year to go until her big day!

WHY WE LOVE IT: Topics on this blog range from wedding themes, budgeting advice, top tips, seasonal inspiration, and Geeky Weddings. Yes, a place for you to pine over superhero weddings and Game of Thrones cakes.

MUST CHECK OUT: Besides the Geeky Weddings page, our favorite is the What You Should Know About advice column. Laurie-ann covers every topic from dessert tables, invitations, wedding gifts, seating charts, and much more.

YourWeddingLawyer.com

BLOGGER: Christie is an attorney in California, a newlywed, and mom to her fur baby Scout. She writes about the law as it pertains to wedding and newlywed life.

WHY WE LOVE IT: This blog is a goldmine of information on topics you may never have even known you needed advice on. Not only does Christie dish on serious topics, she has a knack for humor as well with articles like The Top 10 Most Unreal Things I Heard When I Got Married.

MUST CHECK OUT: Too many to count. Our personal favorites include Booze At Your Wedding: What’s Your Legal Liability?, Read This Before You Post That Yelp Review, and Engagement Ring Insurance 101.

Indian Wedding Toolkit

BLOGGER: Satya is a blogger passionate about planning Indian and Indian fusion weddings.

WHY WE LOVE IT: The advice applies to almost any type of bride and her Pinterest inspiration boards are some of the prettiest we’ve ever seen.

The Clued-up Bride

BLOGGER: Keelie is a wife and mother of 2 kids and considers herself your average girl next door. She just so happens to have a passion for weddings, and helping brides avoid some mistakes she made along the way.

WHY WE LOVE IT: All the posts are relevant to today’s bride and the writing showcases Keelie’s cheeky sense of humor. We also love that the blog is a spinoff of her main site, Wedding it your way, which brings U.K. brides direct access to wedding vendors in one online forum.

MUST CHECK OUT: 12 Things No One Tells You When Planning Your Wedding – The Absolute Truth. We are still cracking up over this article. And, shamless plug, a feature article we did for her site called Five Things to Consider Before Being a Bridesmaid.

DIY Blooms

BLOGGER: Naomi is a DIY bride who navigated the world of floral design for her big day. She knows firsthand that there is not a lot out there to help brides create DIY wedding flowers.

WHY WE LOVE IT: The blog name says it all, DIY Blooms. What bride wouldn’t like to save money on flower arrangements? Thankfully this site gives you the real know how and proves that DIY flowers can be accomplished for your wedding.

MUST CHECK OUT: Start with the Resources page. It is your one stop shop for wholesale flowers, DIY flower suppliers, tutorials, and much more. Seriously. We can’t even begin to list how many awesome links there are to get you started. Not all the posts listed are written by Naomi, but she sure has handpicked the very best articles.

Wedding Recycle

BLOGGER: Lindsay’s site was sparked when as a bride she needed a place to sell 15 unwanted centerpieces. Since 2013 this little site has grown and you can find 1,000 of items for sale daily.

WHY WE LOVE IT: The blog is all encompassing, which is impressive for a site that first and foremost is for selling off your unwanted wedding items. They also have a section that features Real Marriages.
